Basic Atlas of Sectional Anatomy with Correlated Imaging by Walter J. Bo,
The 3rd Edition of this excellent atlas presents a 3-D concept of the body and relates structures in a clear and concise manner. With over 670 beautiful illustrations, each anatomic section covered is correlated with CT, MRI, and US images. This edition includes chapters on the coronal sections of the head, thorax, abdomen, female pelvis, male pelvis, oblique coronal and oblique sagittal sections of the shoulder joint, and coronal and sagittal sections of the knee joint.

Musculoskeletal Assessment: Joint Range of Motion and Manual Muscle Strength by Hazel M. Clarkson,
Musculoskeletal Assessment: Joint Range of Motion and Manual Muscle Strength by Hazel M. Clarkson,
Completely revised and updated, this edition presents the principles and methodology of assessing both joint range of motion (ROM)/goniometry and manual muscle strength for the head, neck, trunk, and extremities. Each chapter is devoted to a separate anatomical region and provides knowledge of pertinent surface anatomy and deep anatomy. Excellent photography and illustrations enhance comprehension of techniques, and serves as a self-learning tool. New to this edition: New vertical format; second-color added to line art; 200 new photographs; detailed coverage of ROM and muscle length assessment and measurement for each body region; comprehensive coverage of end feels for each joint motion; and chapter relating assessment methods to treatment techniques and activities of daily living.

Shoulder - In human anatomy, the shoulder joint is composed of three bones: the clavicle (collarbone), the scapula (shoulder blade), and the humerus (upper arm bone). Two joints facilitate shoulder movement.

Acromioclavicular joint - The acromioclavicular joint, or AC joint, is a joint at the top of the shoulder. It is the junction between the acromion (part of the scapula that forms the highest point of the shoulder) and the clavicle.

Glenohumeral joint - The glenohumeral joint, commonly known as the shoulder joint, is a synovial ball and socket joint and involves the articulation between the glenoid fossa of the scapula, and the humeral head (of the humerus). The Glenoid fossa is shallow however, and needs a labrum to deepen it, and aid stability.

Scapula - In anatomy, the scapula, or shoulder blade, is the bone that connects the humerus (arm bone) with the clavicle (collar bone).
