Acromioclavicular joint - The acromioclavicular joint, or AC joint, is a joint at the top of the shoulder. It is the junction between the acromion (part of the scapula that forms the highest point of the shoulder) and the clavicle. Shoulder - In human anatomy, the shoulder joint is composed of three bones: the clavicle (collarbone), the scapula (shoulder blade), and the humerus (upper arm bone). Two joints facilitate shoulder movement. Glenohumeral joint - The glenohumeral joint, commonly known as the shoulder joint, is a synovial ball and socket joint and involves the articulation between the glenoid fossa of the scapula, and the humeral head (of the humerus). The Glenoid fossa is shallow however, and needs a labrum to deepen it, and aid stability.
